About the Classes
Wilhelmina is a self-taught artist. She started her artistic exploration at young age and will teach you her unconventional skills in a peaceful environment.
Tweens & Teens Classes
Classes are facilitated at the New Life Art & Wellness Center – we are an official Epic Vendor
Weekly paint classes facilitated by Artist Wilhelmina McKittrick – www.wilhelminapaintings.com. For almost 3 decades, Wilhelmina has been exploring and improving her painting skills. Her love for art is felt and seen all over the Center, which she founded in March 2019.
During these classes, students will explore and improve their acrylic painting skills on canvas, in a warm and fun atmosphere.
Stencils are available, if needed.
Tweens classes are for 10-12-year-old students. Mondays from 3pm-5pm, starting August 26th.
Teens classes are for 13-17-year-old students. Wednesday and/or Fridays from 1pm – 3pm. Starting September 4th.
In addition, mindfulness paint classes are facilitated by Wilhelmina McKittrick. Students will start the day with a guided meditation followed by paint classes. Mindfulness Paint Classes for Teens are scheduled from 10am – 12pm. For more information, see calendar on www.newlifeaw.com.
During every class one new painting is created. You can create your own or copy the example. Topics varies per month.

Every Friday in August, we offer Open Art Studio
1:00pm-4:00pm Walk-ins welcome.
6:30pm-8pm – Minimum pre-registration of 4 participants is required.
Pick your own painting and create your Masterpiece!
Great for private (Birthday)parties and family time. Private room available; maximum 15 participants.
We have a variety of stencils that can be used to create the initial layout on canvas.
Create beautiful nature scenes, animals, seasonal creations, abstracts and portraits.
Assistance is given.
Minimum of 4 persons required 24 hours prior to class. If minimum is not met, refund is given.
Not done after one class? Continue next week on your same painting for $10, in the evening only if minimum required – full price – participants is met.
$25 per class. All materials included.
$20 for children 12 and younger.
Kids Birthday party package includes birthday room decorations & colorful Kids Paint Aprons for 10-15 participants. Starting at $275 for 10 participant. Contact us for details.
Evening classes are Open for Adults and Teens only.
Afternoon classes are open for Adults and children. Children need to be accompanied by parent. All present require paid ticket.
Private Classes
Select/mention the type of painting you would like to create in the class you are scheduling. One type of painting per class, for the entire class!
Send in an image of what you would like to create, and you will receive an email within 1 day, about the possibilities.
Cost varies depending on type of art / canvas used materials; starting at $35
First Class Duration: 1 – 1 1/2 hour
Scheduling
When additional classes are scheduled to finish the painting, cost will be $25 per hour, regardless of canvas size for groups, and $75 per hour for individuals – canvas not included.
5-hour packages are offered for individuals (canvas not included); $300
Individual classes and group classes are available (minimum of 4 participants required for groups). Don’t have a group of 4? Register, and you will be contacted when the required minimum is reached.
Prices for paint classes include selected canvas, paint and use of materials required (paint/brushes/easel etc.).
Varnishing the finished product is an option, not a requirement; cost is not included in price.
Types of Classes Offered
- Silhouette of nature scenery with/without animal/human included.
- Detailed animal portrait.
- Abstract; Learn about Wilhelmina’s experience and insights & create your own.
- Pour Painting class; Learn about the mediums, do’s and don’ts – no pour painting on location!
- Dutch Flow painting class; Learn about “Dutch” Flow paintings & create your own.
- Embellishment on Pour/Flow Painting; bring your finished & dried pour painting.
- Embellishment on Abstract Painting; bring your finished & dried abstract painting.
- Galaxy Painting
